EID OF ENLIGHTENMENT OR AN EID OF
From a true believers observation of the Ummah, one major point emerges – Muslims have forsaken their Deeni culture for an inferior way of life. Fulfilling our desires has become paramount; pleasing the Almighty, all but a forgotten pipedream (Naudhu billah)
What is true, is that we each and every one of us (for even those who stand by and watch are just as guilty) – feel nothing of displeasing Allah and thus earning his wrath.
Is it any wonder than that our children become disobedient – they in fact become our curses – and our wives, husbands at al flout every conduct? Family life has crumbled and with it Muslim society lies in tatters.
We feel nothing because we have become nothing.
Were it any different and were we the vibrant Ummah that graced the past, would there be any need for this discourse? Would there be any need for old-age homes? Would there be any need for drug rehabilitation centres? Would there be any need for parents to run to the Ulama because their children have become their worst nightmares? Would there be a need for need?
Regrettably, we, the best of Ummahs – (You are the best people raised for the benefit of mankind enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Almighty Allah’) have allowed ourselves to be manipulated and dictated to by the lifestyles of others.
How does the best of humanity act and behave in celebrating the end of the holiest of holy months? It’s youth put on the best Western garb and casts aside all the blessings of the holy month just past and heads for
The point is the modern West – as opposed to Christianity – adores life in exactly the way a glutton adores his food; he completely devours it, and has no respect whatsoever of it.
Islam does not look upon life as a fleeting opportunity for material satisfaction or a place for sensuous delight.
Every Muslim has to regard himself or herself as personally responsible for all the happenings around him or her, and to strive for the establishment of right.
Every year the same message goes out with the fervent hope that someone out there, be it even one person, can be saved from emulating the Kuffaar in their ways and celebrating Eid in a way far befitting how our beloved Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) and the Sahaabah (Radhiallaahu Anhu) spent their days.
Can we really say we have love for the beloved Prophet of Allah when we do not even feel a little at the way he lived his life, the way he ate, the way he fasted, the way he dressed.
Read the Ahaadith and we’ll find a lifestyle so remote from what we lead today, that one is left wondering where we will all end up. Will Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) recognise us on \the plains of Mahshar. The time has come for us all to seek guidance, for the era of going it alone is gone. Seek advise from those who know.
