Zinniaville’s Farzana Suliman Wins National Maths Teacher Award At Prestigious Event

South Africa’s outstanding teachers who go beyond the call of duty were honoured at the 19th Annual National Teaching Awards at a prestigious event hosted by the Department of Basic Education at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg last month.

Speaking to Radio Islam, Farzana Suliman from Zinniaville Secondary School in the North West took the award for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (FET).

Teacher’s body Naptosa released a statement, “when the teachers render their services with dedication in the making of a nation, it is certain, the younger generation would become better human beings. The nation is very proud of these women and men of phenomenal substance,” the statement read.
