Youth and Drugs – Heart To Heart by Ml Dawud Samson – Part 2 of 2

June 26, 2013

Ml Dawud Samson, who hails from Cape Town, dedicates much of his time with the youth and addressing their challenges.  Moulana mentioned that, of all the many pressures kids between the ages of 12 and 17 years encounter, drugs is the most common and most difficult.  Adult’s preoccupation with personal ambition too compounds the problem.

It’s interesting to note that most drug dealers do not do drugs, drug-money is too precious.  The annual drug-trade turnover is estimated at around $700 billion.  Movies too, with explicit connotations to drugs, money and power, promote this growing trade.  The scourge of drugs is so rife, as Moulana mentioned, that it is as easy for a kid to buy drugs as it is for a kid to buy bread!

Moulana advised the youth with the words of Allah The Most Kind:

??????????? ??? ??????? ??????? ????? ???????? ????????????? ????? ????????????? ? ???????????? ? ????? ??????? ??????? ??????????????

`Spend in the Path (obedience) of Allah (in worship and striving) and do not throw your own hands (do not lead yourselves) into destruction. Do good, for Allah certainly loves those who do good.’ (Ch2-Vs195)

Ya Shabaab Al Ghad, Oh youth of tomorrow…do not destroy yourself.

Ya Shabaab Al Ghad, Oh youth of tomorrow… have the courage to say `No’ to drugs and end your addictions.

Ya Shabaab Al Ghad, Oh youth of tomorrow…reach out for support; reach out to your Maker Allah.  Place your trust in Him and Allah will suffice you.

Ya Shabaab Al Ghad, Oh youth of tomorrow…Allah is the One to depend on, the doors of Repentance are always open.

Ya Shabaab Al Ghad, Oh youth of tomorrow…detox your heart and boost your Imaan; make the Best of Thikr; say LAA to drugs, say LAA to alcohol and say ILLALLAH ONLY Allah!

This is part 2…
