A woman in her 20s is in a critical condition after she fell down a number of stairs at the Mall of the South in Aspen Hills, Johannesburg South.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the mall, they found the woman lying in the middle of the floor.

On assessment, paramedics found that the patient had sustained severe injuries to her head, and was in a critical condition.

Paramedics treated the woman for her injuries and provided her with advanced life support interventions.

Once treated, the patient was transported to Baragwanath Hospital for urgent treatment.

It’s been reported by ER24 that the woman critically injured in a fall at the Mall Of The South is not directly related to the shooting at the newly built mall.

They occurred roughly at the same time but were not directly related as initially reported.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
