Lenasia police are searching for two men involved in a hijacking in which a woman was killed and her husband wounded.

It’s understood the couple were on their way from the Mandela informal settlement in Katlehong to a petrol station in Lenasia Extension 9 to deliver money yesterday when they were attacked by two armed suspects in a black vehicle.

The police’s Hector Netshivodza says they are investigating a case murder.

“One occupant who was having a brick smashed the driver’s window. The driver jumped out of the car and ran away. When the driver went back to the scene with his friend they found the wife was stabbed in the stomach, she was certified dead on the crime scene.”

Netshivodza says the husband was rushed to Jabulani hospital after he collapsed and has since been discharged.
