It’s emerged that there’s a massive outage of fibre and ADSL broadband services in Lenasia and Lenasia South with a number of service providers affected.

The interruption in connectivity has been widely reported by users on social media on Tuesday morning.

There is no indication of what has caused the outage or when services will resume.

One user says he has had no connectivity since Monday night.

“My son is writing exams at Unisa and requires the internet as most of his study material is only available online.”

Another user says she cannot pay salaries to her clients staff as there is no internet connectivity.

“It’s sad that people may not get paid on time due to the internet being down. I hope they resolve it as soon as possible.”

Earlier this month there was a fibre outage in Lenasia after cables were stolen resulting in widespread loss in broadband connectivity.
