September 11, 2017

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 11-09-2017

With just a day to go, Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook will take the stage for the first time in the Steve Jobs Theater at its new “spaceship” campus in Cupertino in the US.

This will be the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, as the former Apple boss Steve Jobs had launched the first iPhone in 2007.

The location represents a new chapter for the world’s most valuable technology company, and the event will usher in a new era for the iPhone.

For the first time, Apple plans to unveil three phones, including a premium model that will cast a halo over the rest of the line, and perhaps over the rest of the smartphone industry.

Based on a leak of the iOS 11 firmware, the three names of the different versions of the iPhone that is expected to be announced tomorrow.

According to Steve Troughton-Smith, an iOS developer, there are references to the ‘iPhone X’ in the next version of the Apple operating system.

Smith says the names of the next Apple devices will be iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X.

He says that the premium bezel less smartphone, which currently had the codename D22, will be known as the iPhone X.

Beyond the iPhone, the company is also planning a version of the Apple Watch that connects to wireless networks and an upgraded Apple TV.

As previewed in June, Apple is also preparing important software updates for all of its platforms – iOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS – and is likely to showcase some features from those on Tuesday.
