The Emfuleni Municipality has announced there will be a planned water shutdown affecting the Vaal area.
The planned shutdown is expected to take place on Wednesday from 8am until 5pm.
Affected areas include Roshnee, Rus-ter-vaal, Sondlandpark, Falconridge, Steelpark and Vereenging.
The municipality says the shutdown is due to heavily leaking main valve in Roshnee that has to be repaired.
Affected communities and business have been advised to collect water for basic use during the outage.
