A pilgrim in the Haram in Makkah allegedly tried to attack the Imam or Khateeb during Jumu’ah salaah.
In a video being widely circulated on social media, it’s understood the man clad in ihram ran towards the Imam Sheikh Bandar Baleelah who was standing on a platform while he was rendering the Khutbah on Friday.
Saudi Arabian authorities lunged forward and grabbed the man foiling the attack.
According to reports, the man has been arrested and charged.
Sheikh Baleelah was unhurt during the incident .
