A 17-year-old man has been arrested after he assaulted a motorist in a road rage incident in Kelvin, north of Johannesburg.
It’s understood Ahmed Moosa was turning into his drive way on Monday when he was accosted by a man riding a motorbike.
From video footage widely circulated on social media, it is believed an argument ensued between the two which led the teen to then attack Moosa.
The police’s Mohlaume Mamabola says they are investigating a case common assault.
“The incident happened yesterday between half past six in the evening and quarter to seven. One suspect has been arrested, he is a minor. He’s 17 years.”
Mamabolo says a decision has yet to be taken by police to determine if the teen will be released into the custody of his parents or appear in the Wynberg Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
