The driver of a beige Hyundai who smashed into one of the doors of the Haram in Makkah, Saudi Arabia has been taken in for questioning.
Video footage being circulated on social media on Friday shows the car driving at high speed across the southern square courtyard of the haram before finally smashing into Door 89 of the Haram.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reports that Saudi security authorities then arrested a man who was behind the wheel of the car.
Quoting the official spokesman of the Makkah region, Sultan Al-Dossari, SPA says no one was hurt in the incident, adding that investigators said the driver of the car was a Saudi citizen who was “in an abnormal condition.”
