Armed robbers targeted a jewellery store at Menlyn Park shopping centre, in Pretoria, on Sunday. News24 reports that a security guard and a civilian were shot in the incident. Emergency Services said that one of the victims, who was shot multiple times, was treated then airlifted to a hospital, while the other was taken by ambulance.

According to News24, a graphic social media video shows a person lying on the ground in a pool of blood, while security guards try to assist the victim. Another video shows the alleged perpetrators bypassing the spikes at a boom gate by placing ramps over them. There were reportedly two getaway vehicles.

Police were investigating, and have not commented as yet.
