Two learners involved in a brawl at Parktown Boys High School have been suspended.
Video footage of the altercation which is alleged to have occurred in at the school’s tuckshop has since gone viral.
The disturbing video shows one learner violently attacking another learner before other students intervene to stop the fight.
Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi has condemned the behaviour of the learners involved in the brawl.
Lesufi’s spokesperson Steven Mabona says learners must focus on their studies.
“The MEC denounces this ill-discipline shown by these learners and urges all learners not to behave in this fashion because this will jeopardize their future.”
Mbona says learner must consult with their educators or principals any issues instead of taking matters into their own hands
