A woman, believed to be in her 20s was left critically injured following a collision on Rivonia Road in Sandton, Johannesburg.
According to a video which has been released, the white Audi TT S veered off the road early yesterday morning and become airborne, crashing into a sign post and coming to rest against a wall.
Paramedics say upon arrival they found a wrecked sports car lying next to a wall while the body of a woman was found lying a short distance behind the vehicle.
ER24’s Russel Meiring says the cause of the crash is being investigated.
“Paramedics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition. They treated the woman and immediately initiated advanced life support interventions, in an effort to stabilize her vital signs.”
Meirings says the woman was transported to Charlotte Maxeke Hospital for urgent care.
