A Lenasia spice shop in the Nurul Islam Plaza was robbed this past Monday in what seemed to be an amateur operation. Two armed men entered the store and began harassing staff and pointing a gun at the cashier.
A shop employee was forced to the ground by one of the men and searched while the other attempted to get the cashier to empty the till and began pointing the gun upwards, seemingly firing it. He then went around to the employee on the floor and harassed him while stepping on his back, gun in hand.
Both offenders looked jumpy and unprepared, while they consistently assaulted the man behind the till and emptied out the till.
They made off on foot with cash and cellphones.
