Mobile network provider Vodacom has apologised to customers saying they are currently in the process of completing all credit refunds and reinstating affected data bundles to users.
Vodacom says a billing issue resulted in its customers data and airtime disappearing.
The mobile network provider says technicians worked overnight to deal with the problem.
Vodacom trended on social media yesterday when users vented their frustration after receiving depletion notifications.
Spokesperson Byron Kennedy says the issues were caused by an error in their system.
“We hope that the process will be completed during the course of the morning. The issue is a once-off system error which was isolated and rectified. We also making sure that this never happens again.”
