Viva Zimbabwe, a Youth Political Party On The Rise

November 21, 2017

Mohamed Ameen Dabhelia – 2017/11/21

Former ZANU-PF member and current Chair of ‘Viva Zimbabwe’ Acie Lumumba says he quit the ruling party because they failed to deliver on its promises to the people.

Lumumba says there was a need to create a political party, which harbors the youth of Zimbabwe.

“If a young person says they want to join a political party, they do not know where to go, we are here to guide the youth and their political interest and responsibility of the people, and this is what Viva Zimbabwe set out to do.”

He says the objectives of the party is to ensure young people are registering to vote and are running for office.

Lumumba says he wants Zimababwe to return to normalcy.

“Emerson Mnangagwa is coming in as Vice President, that process has to happen quickly so that investors can have some confidence and people can get back to work.”

Lumamba is adamant Mugabe will not relinquish the position of President and will contest the central committee’s decision to fire him.
