US should send troops’ to Pakistan: Senator Biden

October 22, 2007

An America Senator, Joe Biden, says that if Pakistani leader Perez Musharraf is killed, the United States should send soldiers to Pakistan to secure the country’s nuclear arsenal.

Biden is also a Democratic presidential candidate for 2008.

He says if he is elected president he will ‘probably’ go in to secure Pakistan’s nuclear weapons.
He strongly backs the power-arrangement the United States brokered between President Musharraf and former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

Bhutto also met him during a recent trip to Washington, seeking his support for her bid to regain power.
