Crime activist Yusuf Abramjee has urged people allegedly affected by the Umrah visa issue to open criminal charges against the agent involved.

It’s believed the agent allegedly claimed there was a problem with the new Umrah visa system and promised to refund the travelers who cancelled their trips.

In a WhatsApp post, Abramjee says no money has been refunded to date.

“The Saudi embassy has made it clear that there is no problem with the issuing of visas.”

Abramjee says he will also ask the Hawks to combine the criminal and fraud charges in the hope that the law takes its course.
