Synopsis:
This short collection clearly demonstrates the intense love and Ishq that the Ulama of Deoband had for the Rasul Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam. Their words, deeds and feelings are laid bare to the reader whose admiration grows for these luminaries after reading this booklet. This collection is gleaned from Mufti Mahmood Hasan Gangohi’s (r) various gatherings.
He lists 5 qualities of a Deobandi:
One who burns, alight with a love for Allah;
One who refrains from all forms of Shirk;
One who has a love for Allah that overshadows all other love;
One who leads a life according the Sunnah;
One who is committed to the propagation of Deen.
The booklet also defines Wahabism; what it means to be a Barelwi; and such poems in praise of our beloved Nabi (s), indicative of the great love these elders had for our master (s). On the whole, an important read eradicating concerted and disastrous attempts to sully the Ulama of Deoband.
