Limpopo police have arrested two suspects for the murder of a businessman and his assistant.
The first suspect was arrested on Friday and the second suspect on Sunday following an intensive manhunt.
It’s understood 41-year-old Salim Valley and 31-year-old Victor Baloyi were on their way to Giyani when they were hijacked in December last year.
The matter was reported to the Police and a joint search operation ensued until their bodies were found with signs of brutal assaults in the bushes between Morudjie and Mavele villages outside Tzaneen a few days later.
The police’s Moatshe’ Ngoepe says investigations are continuing.
“Two Suspects aged 32 and 53 years were arrested during the intensive manhunt which was up and running around the clock until on Friday when the first suspect was arrested. The second suspect was arrested on Sunday.”
Ngoepe says the suspects are expected to appear in the Nkoankoa Magistrate Court outside Tzaneen on two counts of murder and a carjacking.
