Two people have been killed and 8 others injured after a group of gunmen opened fire on mourners at a funeral house at the Thembelihle informal settlement in Lenasia.
It’s understood the shooting happened late last night.
The motive for the attack is not known.
Saaberie Chishty’s paramdedics Aboo Baker Sayed says police were on scene for further investigations.
“Saaberie Chishty Paramedics were called out to the Thembelihle informal settlement. On arrival the paramedics found a number of patients with gunshot injuries. From there unfortunately two succumbed to their injuries and the other eight were rushed to the hospital for further treatment.”
