Outgoing President Donald Trump has left the White House for the final time as the country prepares to inaugurate Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States.
Trump is the first outgoing president to skip his successor’s inauguration in over 150 years.
Trump headed by helicopter to a nearby military base where he will fly to his resort in Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
The 74-year-old President and First Lady Melania walked a short red carpet and boarded Marine One on the White House lawn in Washington for the short flight to Joint Base Andrews where he will board Air Force One.
Biden will be sworn in as President of the United States at noon (1700 GMT).
