Trump Immigration Plan a Backdoor Order to Ban Muslims Legally from US

January 31, 2017

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 31-01-2017

A South African attorney in Dallas Texas in the US has told Radio Islam, Donald Trumps immigration plan is a backdoor order to legally ban Muslims from the country.

Trump on Friday signed an executive order that severely restricts immigration from seven Muslim countries including Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia.

Days after signing the document, questions about its reach and legality are increasingly focusing on the order’s uncertainty.

Speaking to Radio Islam, attorney Julaikha Jeenah says Trumps overnight Muslim and immigration ban is a total shock and has created chaos in the country.

Jeenah says thousands of people have protested against the order.

“When I say thousands of people rallying, I am not talking of Muslim people, I am talking of Muslims, non-Muslims, Jewish groups, Christian groups, and it was an unbelievable feeling because everyone stood together.”

Jeenah says the immigration ban ordered by Trump is not what it seems.

“It’s basically what people see as a backdoor order for a Muslim ban which is what he wanted. He wanted the Muslim ban, his election is based on that and this is what Rudy Giuliani mentioned that this is what he (Trump) wants to do in a legal way.

Jeenah says Muslims in the US have received phenomenal support from all sectors of society who rallied behind them against the ban including donating thousands of Dollars to residents of Texas after their masjid burned to the ground shortly after Trump signed into effect the “Muslim ban”
