A post that appeared to be about beauty tips turns out to be a teenage girl describing China’s concentration camps.
Feroza Aziz was later banned on Tik Tok, however, the company has disputed these claims. The company had banned one or more of Miss Aziz’s posts and justified the ban as a rule being broken on terrorism-related rules.
Ms Aziz had posted three videos about China’s treatment of the Uighur Muslims. The videos had gone viral with the first video been watched over 1.4 million times. A copy uploaded to Twitter has attracted a further five million views.
Tik Tok in China does censor criticism of the Chinese Communist Party, However, Tik Tok said that the videos posted about the treatment of Uighurs Muslims within the camp does not get as much view as Miss Aziz’s video did.
Miss Aziz commented that she was simply spreading awareness to help stop the world from witnessing another Holocaust.
