A third iStore has been robbed in just nine days.
Four men entered the iStore at Centurion Mall pretending to be customers held up store manager and staff and made off with bags of Apple products.
“The following properties were taken — iPhones, laptops, and tablets worth over a million,” said police spokeswoman Lt-Col Khensani Magoai.
While fleeing the scene in three vehicles, a white Corsa, black Audi A4, and silver Mazda the suspects opened fire but no one was wounded.
It is the third iStore outlet to be hit in Gauteng in less than a month.
On August 13, the iStore at Cresta Shopping Centre was robbed and one person was injured when the gang made their getaway.
The Glen’s iStore was robbed a few days later, according to Eye Witness News.
Mogoai said police were investigating to see if there was a link between the robberies.
“At this stage we do not know if they [robberies] are linked,” she said.
