Suspected Robbers Killed in Apparent Mob Justice in Erasmia

Two suspects have been killed in apparent mob justice by the community in Erasmia in Tshwane.

It’s understood members of the community chased the four suspected robbers after a burglary at a complex in the area yesterday.

Two of the suspects were caught and beaten to death while the other two had managed to escape.

The police’s Kay Makhubele says while fleeing the suspects had fired at random‚ wounding two community members.

“When the police arrived, indeed they found that two people who were on the ground and they were beaten up. So far we are investigating a case of murder, attempted murder as well as house robbery. We also found an unlicensed firearm from the suspects and an amount of cash. We will be continuing with our investigations.”

The two wounded community members are being treated in a local hospital.
