Suspect Shot Dead in Sandown House Robbery

Gauteng Police have shot dead one suspect and arrested another following a house robbery in Sandown near the Moloko Hotel, north of Johannesburg.

A third suspect is on the run.

The police’s Lungello Dlamini says three armed men accosted a woman at her residence this morning.

“They pointed her with a firearm and ransacked the house. As they were leaving she pressed the panic button and police as well as security responded and they confronted the suspects.”

“The third suspect is still at large but police have launched a manhunt for him,” Dlamini said.
