South African Youth & Small Businesses Urged To Enter The Technology Industry

Innovation Management & ICT analyst Ashraf Patel has encouraged the youth and small business community of South Africa to involve themselves more frequently in the technology industry.

Patel was speaking to Radio Islam on the side lines of the ITU Telecom World event in Durban, Kwazulu – Natal.

The event is organised by the United Nations – hosting thousands of people from government and the industry.

Patel says that it is time the youth of South Africa become tech – savvy.

“Move in to the information age, move in to the fourth industrial revolution, there’s a lot of opportunity going forward from funding and mentor ship that government and the dti has promised.”

The ITU Telecom World runs until Thursday, 13 September.
