Six People Killed in Ambush in Durban

Six people have been killed, five of them from the same family following an ambush shooting in Mpumalanga township in eThekwini. 

It’s understood nine members of the family watching TV at their home on Wednesday night when they heard gunshots. 

The police’s Jay Naicker says the motive for killing is unknown at this stage. 

“Five of the family members as well as a neighbor were fatally wounded. A three-year-old child was rushed to the clinic. Three of the family members who were also watching TV were not injured. A number of 9mm and shotgun rounds were found on the crime scene.” 

Naicker says police are investigating the shooting.
