Six people have died after they were struck by lightning on the N8 near Botshabelo in the Free State.
It’s under the stood the men aged between 20 and 40 years old were taking shelter under a structure before the lighting struck.
Paramedics says 6 of the men were killed while 5 others sustained injuries.
“ER 24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found the patients lying in and around the structure. Patients who sustained injuries were treated and transported to a local hospital,” ER 24’s Chitra Bodasing said.
