A 49-year-old man convicted of raping six women has today been sentenced to six life sentences in the Limpopo High Court in Polokwane.
He was also sentenced to an additional 75 years for robbery.
Paul Kgasago used to prey on his victims by grabbing and dragging them to nearby bushes before raping them.
The victims which the youngest was 11 and the oldest 87, were also robbed after being raped by Kgasago.
The police’s Ronel Otto said: “The suspect was found guilty and sentenced for the rape of six victims during 2012 in the Lebowakgomo and Mogodi village’s areas.”
SAPS Limpopo Provincial Commissioner Fannie Masemola welcomed the arrests.
“I am proud of members performing their duties with utmost dedication and passion in ensuring heavy sentences for heartless criminals who prey on the most vulnerable people in our society.”
