Saudi Arabian Imam Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim says the greatest purpose of Hajj is the achievement of Tawheed for Allah alone.
Sheikh Al-Shuraim was delivering the Jumu’ah Khutbah in the Haram in Makkah on Friday.
Millions of Muslims across the world will gather in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the annual hajj, which starts on the 9th of August and ends on the 14th of August.
Sheikh Al Shuraim says the answer to Tawheed is guidance from Allah to the Ummah of Islam.
“The Muslim worships Allah to praise Him for His blessings. There is no greater King than His King, no greater grace than His grace, and He is alone and has no partner.”
He says the most authentic talk is the word of Allah and the best of guidance is the guidance of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
“The evil of things is its innovations, and every innovation is heresy, and every heresy is misguidance.”
Sheikh Al-Shuraim says the difference between Muslims and non-Muslims is the word of Allah on the tounge and this is best displayed with the Talbiyah during Hajj and Umrah.
Sheikh Shuraim emphasized that Muslims are refined through a closer relationship with Allah during Hajj, and renewal of allegiance to Him by unification in the form of salaah.
