In a win for the fight against gender based violence (GBV) the Free State High Court sentenced 40 year old Thabang Clement Ntsau at a sitting in Harrismith this past week. During a stint that lasted a decade, Ntsau will sit behind bars for house robberies and rapes committed in the Free State area between 2007 and 2017.
“The Hawks Serious Organized Crime Investigation halted Ntsau’s reign of terror when they arrested him on 16 October 2019. He was consequently charged on eleven counts, which include burglary, robbery with aggravating circumstances, rape and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition,” said Hawks spokesperson Colonel Katlego Mogale.
Sentenced to a combined 120 years imprisonment, which have been ordered to run concurrently, Ntsau will serve a total of 75 years in prison- which will likely be the remainder of his life.
