Faizel Patel, 2016-03-03

A 29-year-old man wounded in a robbery in which his father was killed has sadly passed away at the Chris Hani Baragwaneth Hospital

Armed suspects broke into 65-year-old Haroon Saley’s home in Azaadville this morning fatally shooting him and wounding his son Yusuf.

Haroon was a senior member of NGO Crescent of Hope.

Yusuf was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.

Crescent of Hopes Ismail Kholvadia says they are in shock.

“We have just received confirmation that the son Yusuf Saleh has also passed away. We are trying our best to see how we can facilitate the processes if we can get the body in time, we will try and keep the janza’s both after Asr. If we can’t than we’ll probably delay both for after Esha.”
