As the annual Hajj draws closer, it’s emerged Saudi Arabia’s Hajj and Umrah Ministry is expected to make a decision soon about whether the Kingdom will be proceeding with this year’s Hajj or not due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Haramain Info, the Hajj Ministry will consider the global COVID-19 situation across the globe before making that decision.

It’s believed the ministry has been receiving a lot of queries surrounding the status of this years hajj.

Meanwhile, Indonesia has cancelled plans to attend the annual Hajj this year citing concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.

More than 220,000 people from the world’s biggest Muslim-majority country were set to take part in the annual pilgrimage.
