With just a few days left before the blessed month of Ramadan comes to an end, the Saudi Arabian Religious Attaché in Pretoria has continued to extend its humanitarian efforts by distributing much needed aid to the needy in South Africa.
The food packs which consists of basic food items were distributed to various individuals and organisations in Lenasia and Lenasia South.
The Al-Iman Foundation in Lenasia South, which houses and takes care of a number of orphans, welcomed the aid, thanking the Religious Attaché for sharing their food and love during the month of Ramadan.
The organisation during the month of Ramadan provided ifthar meals to more than eighty orphans with generous contributions from the community.
In April, the Religious Attaché distributed more than ten tons of dates to Muslims across South Africa during the blessed month of Ramadan.
The initiative like the food packs formed part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman’s gift program.
