Saudi Arabia has been praised for continuously developing infrastructure to ease the entry of hujjaj in the Kingdom for hajj.
Millions of hujjaj are expected to descend into country for the annual Hajj which starts on the 9th of August and ends on the 14th of August.
One of the airports in Saudi Arabia which has improved on its service is the Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina where many hujjaj arrive ahead of their hajj journey.
Speaking to Radio Islam from the blessed city of Medina, Ml Abdul Rahman Laily says service at the airport is super-efficient.
“Sometimes hujjaj actually arrived out of the airport terminal while the officials either from their tour operators or from the South African Hajj and Umrah Council were there already but thinking that there’ll still be another 15-20 minutes, before they collect their luggage and ‘boops’ the hujjaj were out already. So super-efficient, Alhamdulillah.”
Ml Laily says within about nineteen minutes of landing Hujjaj can be at their hotels where as in the past, it would take about two hours.
Meanwhile, the South African Hajj and Umrah Council (SAHUC) has confirmed that the additional hajj quota has been filled pending any last minutes cancellations.
Last week the Hajj Ministry in Saudi Arabia granted South Africa an additional five hundred hujjaj for this year’s hajj.
This brings South Africa’s total hajj quota for 2019 to four thousand.
