SAMTA Clarifies Repeat Umrah Visa Fee Issue

November 28, 2017

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 28-11-2017

The South African Muslim Travel Association (SAMTA) says messages being spread on social media that the SR2000 for repeat Umrah visa fees have been waived are totally untrue and incorrect.

A message about the scrapping of the additional fee has been widely circulated on WhatsApp on Tuesday.

In a statement SAMTA has urged members of the public to urgently stop spreading the fake news as it’s creating confusion amongst Pilgrims.

“The SR2000 repeat fee rule is still in place and is currently being levied / enforced on all repeat Pilgrims.”

SAMTA says it will update pilgrims if there are any updates on the Umrah visa’s.
