Travel company Travel Juice says it is determined to help South Africa become a Muslim-friendly destination without compromising luxury and other benefits.

Tsitsikamma Canopy Tours has constructed a salaah facility in Tsitsikamma Storms River on the Garden Route to cater for the fast-growing Muslim tourists market.

Travel Juice’s Mohamed Shezaad says they plan to open many more facilities in the future.

“Halaal tourism in South Africa is an important sector that is growing rapidly. For too long, the Muslim holiday-maker has felt that he/she needed to compromise a luxury holiday as a result of religious needs and that compromises their faith. A prayer facility and halaal food is a minor compromise and it should be possible to do both.”

The salaah facility can be found at the Canopy Tours building in Tsitsikamma.
