SAHUC Releases First Accreditation List for 1439/2018

January 16, 2018

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 16-01-2018

The South African Hajj and Umrah Council (SAHUC) has released its first accreditation list for Hajj 1439/2018.

The list which contains the accreditation of 2,500 hujjaj which is the quota granted to South Africa by Ministry of hajj in Saudi Arabia was released on Monday night at 6pm.

SAHUC says the early release of the accreditation list helps prospective hujjaj plan for their hajj journey.

Spokesperson Moaaz Casoo says prospective hujjaj must accept the accreditation as soon as possible or face penalties.

“Insha’Allah the hujjaj of this year have until the 5th of February 2018 to accept the accreditation or defer to another year. If we have any cancellations, or people who defer to another year, thereafter we will release a second list of accreditation for the year 2018.”

Casoo also says due to the majority of Hajj operators not having their packages ready for accreditation, it has revised the timing for selection of accredited service providers.
