The South African Hajj and Umrah Council (SAHUC) has elected new national office bearers.
The Hajj body held its Annual General Meeting in Cape Town on Sunday.
Some familiar faces have returned to the top echelons of the organisation.
Long time Sahuc member Shaheen Essop has been elected as President taking over from Ml Muhammad Vaid, while Sheikh Adam Macheso takes up the role of 1st deputy president and Hafez Ismail Kholvadia as 2nd deputy president.
Hafez Moaaz Casoo and Hafez Hassan Choonara retain their positions as Secretary General and Assistant Secretary General.
The position of treasurer and assistant treasurer will be headed up by Asif Essop and Hafez Mohammed Maiter.
Sahuc has faced harsh criticism recently for its alleged lack of transparency in the organisation and it so called failure to serve the hujjaj of South Africa.
