The South African Hajj and Umrah Council (Sahuc) says in keeping with its policy of transparency, the current Hajj registration list will be removed from its website on the 21st of January for audit purposes.
SAHUC says the audit by the Association of Muslim Accountants and Lawyers (Amal) verifies all legitimate changes made to any applications.
In a statement, the hajj body says the accreditation list will be released in February after confirmation from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on the official quota and signing of the Hajj protocol for 2019/1440.
“Accredited applicants are kindly requested to follow the due process in accepting or deferring their accreditation within the specified timelines so as to ease the process for all and not prejudice others due to late cancellations.”
