SA COVID-19 Recoveries Hit Million Mark, But Grim Climb of Fatalities Continue

More than one million South Africans have now recovered from the COVID-19 virus in the country.

The Health Department has announced that 1,019,123 people have recuperated from the Coronavirus,  which is about 81.%.

The country has also recorded a further 13,105 infections in the past twenty four hours.

The Health Ministry says the latest cases published  have pushed the known number of infections since the start of the outbreak to 1,259,748

Another 755 people have also died after contracting the virus.

These latest fatalities bring the national death toll to 34,334.

South Africa currently stand at number 16 globally in terms of the number of Coronavirus infections worldwide.
