SA COVID-19 Deaths Rise to 58, Infections at 3,300

The Health Department has announced that 2 more people have died from COVID-19 in South Africa bring the total deaths to 58 while the infections have jumped to 3,300,

This is an increase of 142 from Sunday’s announcement.

Gauteng has the most infections with 1,170, followed by the Western Cape at 940, KwaZulu-Natal 639, Free State 105, North West 25, Mpumalanga 23, Limpopo 27, Eastern Cape 310, Northern Cape 18 and unallocated infections 43.

Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize says the total number of COVID-19 tests conducted to date is 121,510 this is an increase of 6,799 from the last report.

Mkhize has conveyed government’s condolences to the families and acknowledged appreciation to the health workers who were treating the deceased patients.
