Murder accused businessman Rameez Patel has been denied bail in the Polokwane High Court.
Patel applied for bail after he allegedly killed his mother in September last year.
He’s also on trial for the murder of his wife, Fatima in 2015, and is accused of killing a Westenburg resident in 2013.
Patel was moved to a more secure facility in November last year after he tried to escape from his cell.
The police’s Moatshe Ngoepe says Patel’ case has been postponed for further investigations.
“Rameez Patel’s bail application was successfully opposed today in the Polokwane High Court and the case was postponed to 18 April for further police investigations.”
