Police have confirmed that murder accused Rameez Patel has been re-arrested – this time for the alleged murder of another man in Polokwane two years ago.
Patel is currently out on 250,000 rand bail for allegedly murdering his wife Fatima at their Nirvana townhouse complex in April.
He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and insists Fatima was killed by robbers.
The Police’s Ronel Otto says Rameez Patel was arrested at work this morning.
She says the case relates to the murder of a man named Tony Adams – who lived in Westenburg and was killed in 2013.
Otto says Adams was assaulted with a hockey stick after allegedly breaking into Patel’s property.
His body was found at a supermarket parking lot in the area.
Patel is expected to appear in court on Monday. – EWN
