President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to face Members of Parliament (MP) on Tuesday as opposition parties seek answers on the burglary at his farm in Limpopo in 2020. It is alleged that thousands of dollars were stolen from the farm.
Ramaphosa failed to answer questions of the opposition in June during a budget debate and has since remained num on the incident, citing due processors.
This comes, despite the African Transformation Movement (ATM) succeeding in starting a Section 89 process against him. The ATM wants Ramaphosa to take the country into his confidence despite investigations by the Hawks and the Office of the Public Protector.
Meanwhile, political parties have until Thursday to nominate experts to sit on a panel that will consider the accuracy of the evidence that could lead to an inquiry into the Phala Phala robbery.
Ramaphosa will return to Parliament on Tuesday for one of two question sessions this term to be questioned on illegal migration, gender-based violence and renewable energy.
