Ramadhan the Month of blessings and so much more

April 06, 2022

Ramadhan 1443 is upon us, and acknowledging and reflecting on the attributes of this month is a gift from Allah (SWT). It is the month of forgiveness; the month of countless blessings, the month in which the Qur’an was revealed; the month in which Laylatul-Qadr lies, and so much more.

During the month of Ramadhan, rewards are multiplied, and every form of worship, act of kindness, and a good deed is done carried more weight and blessings. Allah’s (SWT) mercy and generosity are showered upon us this month.

Fasting is a blessing on its own, and it is one of the pillars of Islam. With the Qur’an as a guide, the five pillars of Islam shape a Muslim. Allah (SWT) says in the Qur’an:

“O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:183)

The Door of Rayyan (or Ar-Rayyan) is one of the doors in Heaven that is specifically “reserved” for Muslims who fast during Ramadan. Those committed to fasting during the holy month will enter through this door on the Day of Judgement.

Ramadan is not just a month in which we refrain from food and drink for a few hours. It is a chance to make up for a lost time during the year and return to Allah, beg forgiveness of sins, and finally, a chance to better your life in the Hereafter.

It is an amazing month; there is a flow of blessings and rewards from Allah to those who genuinely want to reap the full benefits from these thirty days. Probably the best thing about Ramadan is the fact that every action is done truly for Allah, and each serves to strengthen our faith in Him.

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala accept our fasts and deeds during this holy month of Ramadhan by His Guidance and Grace. Aameen Ya Rabbul Aalameen.
