Radio Islam in conjunction with the Al Tawheed Islamic Centre distributed jackets to learners at the Bilal Combined School in Lenasia South on Wednesday.

“Soul Warmers” an initiative and project of Radio Islam during the month of Ramadaan garnered tremendous response from loyal listeners who generously contributed towards the project.

A total of 200 jackets were distributed to learners at the school while the balance of 270 would be distributed to the various institutes of Al Tawheed.

The learners were ecstatic about their jackets saying it was very comfortable and warm.

Suliman Haffejee the principal of Bilal Combined School said he was very grateful to  Radio Islam for taking the initiative to provide learners with jackets.

“We are experiencing very cold moments, especially here on the mountain in Lenasia South, where the weather is very different from everywhere else. So this comes as a blessing.”

“So we want to thank Radio Islam and its staff for this kind gesture, may Allah reward you abundantly,” said Haffejee.
